Coalition of Organizations for Delaware Entrepreneurship (CODE) Operating Principles

What is CODE?
CODE is a state-wide coalition organized in 2007 to support the Delaware small business community by creating awareness of the resources and opportunities available.

Mission
To provide the Delaware small business community and the public with support, networking opportunities and access to resources.

Leadership
The Delaware Financial Literacy Institute (DFLI) is the lead organization for CODE.

Development
DFLI is the fiscal agent of the coalition and as such seeks and manages funds.

Council
The Council is comprised of the lead organization, the sponsors and any organization that has been selected as a State lead for that year.

Partners
Partners are non-profit organizations, government agencies, higher education institutions and businesses that offer FREE resources to the small business community and the public and support the efforts of the Council.

Solicitation
At NO time is any member permitted to solicit fee for service. Organizations offering workshops to the public that have a cost must be shared via paper and distributed to the group during the announcement segment at a meeting. Electronic submission can be sent to the convener for email distribution. However, during the annual conference members have the opportunity to solicit services to the community as a vendor.
